St. Joseph's Academy Redstickers (Baton Rouge, LA) backers were pleased Friday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Pope John Paul II Jaguars (Slidell, LA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Redstickers (21-12) will now prepare for their test against St. Thomas More (Lafayette, LA). The Cougars go into the non-league test with a 34-6 record. In their last test, St. Thomas More beat Vandebilt Catholic (Houma, LA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Jaguars play the Episcopal of Acadiana Falcons (Cade, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 31. Pope John Paul II will attempt to upgrade on its 20-15 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 17-6 record after their 3-2 league win over Ascension Episcopal (Lafayette, LA).
