North Carolina High School Volleyball - Alleghany over South Stokes

October 4, 2021: Sparta, NC 28675

Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC) supporters left the game in high spirits Monday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC), 3-1 in a league match.

Next up, the Trojans clash with the East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC) in a Northwest 1A match, on Tuesday, October 5. Alleghany will attempt to advance on its 8-5 season record. The Cardinals come into the match with a 5-10 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Bishop McGuinness (Kernersville, NC).

With the loss, South Stokes drops to 5-14 on the campaign. The Sauras host Starmount (Boonville, NC) to meet the Rams in a Northwest 1A game on Thursday, October 7. The Rams enter the game with a record of 2-10. Starmount lost 3-0 in their recent league game against Elkin (Elkin, NC)
