Georgia High School Softball - Sumter County succumbs to Berrien
October 4, 2022: Americus, GA 31709 The Berrien Rebels (Nashville, GA) softball routed the host Sumter County Panthers (Americus, GA), 18-0 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Rebels (12-12) will now prepare for their bout against Irwin County (Ocilla, GA). The Indians go into the non-league bout with a 14-6 record. In their last bout, Irwin County toppled Pelham (Pelham, GA), 14-1, in a league bout.
The Panthers now possess a 3-20 record. They play next when they travel to Berrien for a 2A Region 1 bout on Thursday, October 6. Sumter County will confront a Rebels squad coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Irwin County (Ocilla, GA). The Rebels record now stands at 13-12.
