Georgia High School Softball - Elbert County bounces Rabun County
October 4, 2022: Elberton, GA 30635 The crowd at Tuesday's league match between the Elbert County Blue Devils (Elberton, GA) and the visiting Rabun County Wildcats (Tiger, GA), saw Elbert County's softball squad nip Rabun County by a count of 5-0.
The Blue Devils now have a 11-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Commerce for a 1A D-I Region 8 test on Thursday, October 6. Elbert County will clash with a Tigers team coming off a 5-2 non-league win over Lake Oconee Academy (Greensboro, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 13-11.
The Wildcats (7-18) will now prepare for their test against Chestatee (Gainesville, GA). The War Eagles come into the non-league test with a 10-18 record. In their last test, Chestatee edged Cedar Shoals (Athens, GA), 12-2, in a league test.
