October 4, 2023: Rutherfordton, NC 28139 The Hendersonville Bearcats held off the host R-S Central Hilltoppers soccer squad by a margin of 3-2 in Wednesday's league match.
The Bearcats now sport a 9-4 record. They play next when they host Polk County for a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A match on Monday, October 9. Hendersonville will encounter a Wolverines squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Patton (Morganton, NC). The Wolverines record now stands at 6-6.
With the loss, R-S Central drops to 2-7 on the season. The Hilltoppers travel to Brevard (Brevard, NC) to encounter the Blue Devils in a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A match on Monday, October 9. The Blue Devils come into the match with a record of 10-6. Brevard won 5-0 in their recent league match against East Rutherford (Forest City, NC)
