Texas High School Football - Oakwood trounced by Avalon
October 4, 2024: Oakwood, TX 75855 Avalon Eagles (Avalon, TX) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Oakwood Panthers (Oakwood, TX), 62-16 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Avalon advances its record to 6-0 on the season. The Eagles host Milford (Milford, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 1A 6 Man 1 Region III District 9 (6 Man) battle on Friday, October 18. The Bulldogs go into the battle with a record of 3-3.
The Panthers now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they host BVCHEA HomeSchool for a non-league battle on Friday, October 11. Oakwood will play a Mustangs team coming off a 65-48 non-league win over Nazarene Christian Academy (Crowley, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-1.
