The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Ayden - Grifton Chargers (Ayden, NC) and the visiting Greene Central Rams (Snow Hill, NC), witnessed Ayden - Grifton's football squad edge Greene Central by a count of 10-8.

The Chargers (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against North Pitt (Bethel, NC). The Panthers enter the Eastern Plains 2A contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, North Pitt was nudged by West Carteret (Morehead City, NC), 42-30, in a non-league contest.
