October 4, 2024: Paintsville, KY 41240 The Corbin Redhounds got by the host Johnson Central Golden Eagles football team by a score of 56-51 in Friday's non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Redhounds play the Letcher County Central Cougars / Lady Cougars (Whitesburg, KY) in a 4A District 8 challenge, on Friday, October 11. Corbin will attempt to improve on its 5-1 season record. The Cougars / Lady Cougars go into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 41-18 non-league win over Breathitt County (Jackson, KY).
The Golden Eagles (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Rowan County (Morehead, KY). The Vikings go into the 4A District 6 challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, Rowan County was edged by Blazer (Ashland, KY), 55-7, in a league challenge.
