The Meridian Wildcats were victorious over the visiting Harrison Central Red Rebels football team by a score of 31-17 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats face the Oak Grove Warriors (Hattiesburg, MS) in a 7A Region 3 challenge, on Friday, October 11. Meridian will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Warriors enter the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 45-7 non-league win over Laurel (Laurel, MS).

The Red Rebels (1-4) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Martin (Ocean Springs, MS). The Yellow Jackets enter the 7A Region 4 challenge with a 3-2 record. In their last challenge, St. Martin ran past East Central (Moss Point, MS), 15-7, in a non-league challenge.
