Kemper County Wildcats (DeKalb, MS) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting McLaurin Tigers (Florence, MS), 47-0 in a league battle.

With the win, Kemper County improves its record to 6-0 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Noxubee County (Macon, MS) to play the Tigers in a 3A Region 5 battle on Friday, October 11. The Tigers go into the battle with a record of 3-2. Noxubee County won 28-13 in their recent non-league battle against Louisville (Louisville, MS)

The Tigers now have a 2-4 record. They play next when they host Enterprise for a 3A Region 5 battle on Friday, October 11. McLaurin will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 34-0 league win over Southeast Lauderdale (Meridian, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-2.
