Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial Wolverines (Alamo, TX) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Rivera Raiders (Brownsville, TX), 33-14 in a league battle.

With the win, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial improves its record to 2-3 on the season. The Wolverines travel to Donna North (Donna, TX) to play the Chiefs in a 5A-1 Region IV District 15 battle on Friday, October 11. The Chiefs go into the battle with a record of 0-6. Donna North lost 21-14 in their recent league battle against Donna (Donna, TX)

The Raiders now have a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Flour Bluff for a 5A-1 Region IV District 15 battle on Friday, October 18. Rivera will play a Hornets team coming off a 49-14 league win over Weslaco East (Weslaco, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 6-0.
