In Friday's league match, the visiting Spanish Springs Cougars football squad scored a good 34-12 triumph over the Reno Huskies.

The Cougars (5-3) will now prepare for their match against McQueen (Reno, NV). The Lancers come into the 5A Division II Northern match with a 3-5 record. In their last match, McQueen was beaten by Douglas (Minden, NV), 49-21, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Huskies confront the Bishop Manogue Miners (Reno, NV) in a 5A Division II Northern match, on Friday, October 18. Reno will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Miners come into the match with a 5-3 record after their 42-35 league win over Reed (Sparks, NV).
