The D'Hanis (TX) varsity football team won Saturday's home non-conference game against Somerset Academy Collegiate (San Antonio, TX) by a score of 66-50.
The D'Hanis Cowboys football squad scored 66 points and limited the visiting Somerset Academy Collegiate Bears to 50 in the Cowboys non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Cowboys now have a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to La Pryor for a 2A-2 Region IV District 14 challenge on Friday, October 10. D'Hanis will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 62-14 league loss to Brackett (Brackettville, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-3.
The Bears (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Hill Country Christian School of Austin (Austin, TX). The Knights go into the non-league challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Hill Country Christian School of Austin toppled New Braunfels Christian Academy (New Braunfels, TX), 33-27, in a league challenge.
