In Saturday's league match, the visiting Ridgewood Maroons football squad scored a good 20-6 triumph over the Hackensack Comets.

The Maroons (3-3) will now prepare for their match against Northern Highlands (Allendale, NJ). The Highlanders come into the Super - Liberty Red match with a 5-1 record. In their last match, Northern Highlands was beaten by NV - Old Tappan (Old Tappan, NJ), 14-7, in a non-league battle.

The Comets now have a 3-3 record. They play next when they host Barringer for a non-league battle on Friday, October 10. Hackensack will meet a Blue Bears squad coming off a 34-0 non-league win over Kennedy (Paterson, NJ). The Blue Bears record now stands at 1-4.
