Saugus Centurions (Saugus, CA) followers went home pleased Saturday as they saw their flag football team nip the host Canyon Cowboys (Canyon Country, CA), 1-0 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Saugus advances its record to 9-11 on the season. The Centurions travel to Pacifica (Oxnard, CA) to play the Tritons in a non-league battle on Saturday, October 4. The Tritons go into the battle with a record of 5-11. Pacifica won 14-8 in their recent league battle against Buena (Ventura, CA)

The Cowboys now own a 2-10 record. They play next when they host Golden Valley for a Foothill battle on Wednesday, October 8. Canyon will play a Grizzlies team coming off a 41-0 non-league loss to Quartz Hill (Quartz Hill, CA). The Grizzlies record now stands at 6-10.
