Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the East Newton Patriots (Granby, MO) and the host Parkview Vikings (Springfield, MO), observed East Newton's volleyball team top Parkview by a tally of 2-0.

The Patriots (12-14) will now prepare for their contest against Clever (Clever, MO). The Blue Jays enter the non-league contest with a 13-8 record. In their last contest, Clever was beaten by Fair Grove (Fair Grove, MO), 3-2, in a non-league contest.
