In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Rice Lake Warriors volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Somerset Spartans.

The Warriors (19-6) will now prepare for their challenge against New Richmond (New Richmond, WI). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 19-6 record. In their last challenge, New Richmond beat Menomonie (Menomonie, WI), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Spartans meet the Superior Spartans (Superior, WI) in a non-league test, on Saturday, October 4. Somerset will attempt to improve on its 9-11 season record. The Spartans go into the test with a 10-14 record after their 3-0 league loss to Cloquet (Cloquet, MN).
