Texas High School Volleyball - Karnes City overwhelmed by Lytle
October 5, 2021: Lytle, TX 78052 In Tuesday's league battle, the host Lytle Pirates volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Karnes City Badgers.
The Pirates (4-11) will now prepare for their battle against Poth (Poth, TX). The Pirates come into the 3A Region IV District 27 battle with a 18-16 record. In their last battle, Poth achieved victory over Cotulla (Cotulla, TX), 3-0, in a league battle.

Pirates hosted the Badgers of Karnes City (you can check out the following Twitter pages for pictures and videos @LytleVolleyball, @Loriwilson23, @CoachJayTope) the Pirates won the coin toss and secured the first serve of set 1. Martinez #2 started her debut as the DS and Sprenger #3 as OH. We hit a couple of snags in the first set with receiving the serve but we managed to bounce back and win set 1 26-24. In the 2nd set we played with more energy and communicated well, winning the 2nd set 25-21. Entering the 3rd set the Pirates managed to take over with great serving and a couple of return kills from Gonzalez #14, Granato #15, and Scotello #11. Pirates win the 3rd set 25-20, great teamwork and court coverage.
