With the win, Asheboro improves its record to 14-1 on the campaign. The Blue Comets host Montgomery Central (Troy, NC) to clash with the Timberwolves in a Mid-Piedmont 3A game on Monday, October 10. The Timberwolves go into the game with a record of 8-4. Montgomery Central won 4-1 in their recent league game against Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC)
The Panthers (9-5) will now prepare for their game against North Davidson (Lexington, NC). The Black Knights go into the Mid-Piedmont 3A game with a 4-9 record. In their last game, North Davidson nipped Central Davidson (Lexington, NC), 7-1, in a league game.
