North Carolina High School Soccer - Southern Lee held off by Pinecrest
October 5, 2022: Southern Pines, NC 28387 The crowd at Wednesday's league test between the Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) and the visiting Southern Lee Cavaliers (Sanford, NC), saw Pinecrest's soccer squad get by Southern Lee by a margin of 1-0.
The Patriots now sport a 7-4 record. They play next when they host Lee County for a Sandhills 3A/4A test on Monday, October 10. Pinecrest will meet a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Scotland (Laurinburg, NC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 11-4.
With the loss, Southern Lee drops to 6-7 on the season. The Cavaliers travel to Hoke County (Raeford, NC) to meet the Bucks in a Sandhills 3A/4A test on Monday, October 10. The Bucks come into the test with a record of 7-7. Hoke County won 3-2 in their recent league test against Richmond (Rockingham, NC)
