October 5, 2022: Weldon, NC 27890 Weldon Chargers (Weldon, NC) supporters left the game in high spirits Wednesday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting Northwest Halifax Vikings (Littleton, NC), 3-0 in a league match.
Next up, the Chargers clash with the Wilson Prep Tigers (Wilson, NC) in a Tar Roanoke 1A match, on Tuesday, October 11. Weldon will attempt to advance on its 11-2 season record. The Tigers come into the match with a 9-4 record after their 3-0 league win over KIPP Pride (Gaston, NC).
With the loss, Northwest Halifax drops to 1-12 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Rocky Mount Prep (Rocky Mount, NC) to clash with the Jaguars in a Tar Roanoke 1A match on Thursday, October 6. The Jaguars come into the match with a record of 0-12. Rocky Mount Prep lost 3-0 in their recent league match against North Edgecombe (Tarboro, NC)
