Michigan High School Soccer - Sault Area toppled by Houghton
October 5, 2024: Houghton, MI 49931 Houghton Gremlins (Houghton, MI) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Sault Area Blue Devils (Sault St. Marie, MI), 8-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Houghton moves its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Gremlins host Cheboygan (Cheboygan, MI) to clash with the Chiefs in a non-league test on Wednesday, October 9. The Chiefs come into the test with a record of 0-12. Cheboygan lost 13-1 in their recent non-league test against Charlevoix (Charlevoix, MI)
The Blue Devils now sport a 1-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gaylord for a Big North battle on Thursday, October 10. Sault Area will battle a Blue Devils squad coming off a 8-0 league loss to Traverse City West (Traverse City, MI). The Blue Devils record now stands at 6-11.
