In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Bedford Kicking Mules volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Portage Central Mustangs.

The Kicking Mules (24-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Niles (Niles, MI). The Vikings come into the non-league challenge with a 8-9 record. In their last challenge, Niles beat Vicksburg (Vicksburg, MI), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs meet the Kalamazoo Christian Comets (Kalamazoo, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 5. Portage Central will attempt to upgrade on its 18-21 season record.
