California High School Soccer - Making Waves Academy knocks off Contra Costa Christian
October 6, 2022: Richmond, CA 94806 Making Waves Academy Marlins (Richmond, CA) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team overwhelm the visiting Contra Costa Christian Cougars (Walnut Creek, CA), 15-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Marlins confront the Cristo Rey De La Salle Mustangs (Oakland, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 7. Making Waves Academy will attempt to move on its 10-1 season record. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a 8-1 record after their 1-1 non-league Redwood Christian (San Lorenzo, CA).
The Cougars now possess a 0-9 record. They take the field next when they host Fremont Christian for a Bay Counties challenge on Tuesday, October 11. Contra Costa Christian will confront a Warriors team coming off a 4-0 league loss to California Crosspoint (Hayward, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 0-10.
