October 6, 2022: Mt. Zion, IL 62549 Mt. Zion Braves (Mt. Zion, IL) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs (Mahomet, IL), 1-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Braves confront the Mattoon Greenwave (Mattoon, IL) in a Apollo challenge, on Saturday, October 8. Mt. Zion will attempt to move on its 15-5 season record.
The Bulldogs now possess a 13-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Normal Community for a non-league challenge on Monday, October 10. Mahomet-Seymour will confront a Ironmen team coming off a 1-1 non-league Glenwood (Chatham, IL). The Ironmen record now stands at 10-6.
