October 6, 2023: Pendleton, OR 97801 The Crook County Cowboys football team (Prineville, OR), was knocked off 28-14 in Friday's league challenge with the host Pendleton/Nixyaawii Community Buckaroos (Pendleton, OR)
The Buckaroos (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Ontario (Ontario, OR). The Tigers come into the 4A Special District 5 challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, Ontario was knocked off by Baker (Baker City, OR), 41-20, in a league challenge.
The Cowboys now sport a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host La Grande for a 4A Special District 5 challenge on Friday, October 13. Crook County will meet a Tigers team coming off a 36-14 league win over Madras (Madras, OR). The Tigers record now stands at 2-5.
