The crowd at Friday's league contest between the George Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA) and the visiting Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA), observed George Wythe's football squad bounce Giles by a count of 49-13.

The Maroons now own a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to J.I. Burton for a non-league contest on Friday, October 13. George Wythe will play a Black Raiders squad coming off a 47-0 non-league loss to Lee (Jonesville, VA). The Black Raiders record now stands at 0-6.
