Pennsylvania High School Football - Northgate drops to Laurel

October 6, 2023: New Castle, PA 16101

In Friday's league game, the Laurel Spartan (New Castle, PA) football team knocked off the visiting Northgate Flames (Pittsburgh, PA), by a final score of 35-12.

The Spartan (2-5) will now prepare for their game against South Side (Hookstown, PA). The Rams come into the WPIAL A Big 7 game with a 7-0 record. In their last game, South Side toppled Shenango (New Castle, PA), 62-12, in a league game.

The Flames now hold a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they host Union Area for a WPIAL A Big 7 game on Friday, October 13. Northgate will battle a Scotties team coming off a 46-28 league win over Rochester (Rochester, PA). The Scotties record now stands at 6-1.
