The Sun Valley Magnet Pioneers topped the host Magnolia Science Academy Van Nuys Mustang volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Friday's league test.
The Pioneers now have a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology for a Central Valley test on Friday, October 13.
The Mustang (5-5) will now prepare for their test against Lake Balboa College Prep (Lake Balboa, CA). The Cougars enter the Central Valley test with a 6-9 record. In their last test, Lake Balboa College Prep was knocked off by Lakeview Charter (Sylmar, CA), 3-2, in a non-league test.
