October 6, 2023: Caldwell, NJ 07006 The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Verona Hillbillies (Verona, NJ) and the host Mount St. Dominic Academy Lions (Caldwell, NJ), saw Verona's volleyball squad nip Mount St. Dominic Academy by a tally of 2-1.
With the win, Verona upgrades its record to 15-2 on the year. The Hillbillies host Bogota (Bogota, NJ) to play the Buccaneers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, October 10. The Buccaneers go into the bout with a record of 9-5. Bogota lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Immaculate Heart Academy (Washington Township, NJ)
The Lions now own a 6-10 record. They play next when they travel to West Essex for a non-league game on Tuesday, October 10. Mount St. Dominic Academy will confront a Knights team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Jefferson Township (Oak Ridge, NJ). The Knights record now stands at 13-5.
