Ohio High School Soccer - Johnstown-Monroe nudges Lakewood
October 6, 2024: Johnstown, OH 43031 Fans at Sunday's league battle between the Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies (Johnstown, OH) and the visiting Lakewood Lancers (Hebron, OH), saw Johnstown-Monroe's soccer squad hold off Lakewood by a count of 1-0.
The Johnnies (7-7) will now prepare for their battle against Highland (Marengo, OH). The Fighting Scots enter the non-league battle with a 4-10 record. In their last battle, Highland was edged by Whetstone (Columbus, OH), 8-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Lancers battle the Sheridan Generals (Thornville, OH) in a non-league battle, on Monday, October 7. Lakewood will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Generals enter the battle with a 3-10 record after their 3-2 league win over Coshocton (Coshocton, OH).
