The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Slidell Tigers (Slidell, LA) and the visiting Hammond Tornadoes (Hammond, LA), observed Slidell's football squad defeat Hammond by a count of 32-21.

The Tigers now own a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to Ponchatoula for a 5A District 6 contest on Friday, October 14. Slidell will encounter a Green Wave squad coming off a 36-35 league win over Mandeville (Mandeville, LA). The Green Wave record now stands at 3-4.

Coming up next, the Tornadoes encounter the Covington Lions (Covington, LA) in a 5A District 6 contest, on Friday, October 14. Hammond will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Lions go into the contest with a 5-1 record after their 37-14 league win over St. Paul's (Covington, LA).
