The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Summit Hilltoppers (Summit, NJ) and the host Linden Tigers (Linden, NJ), observed Summit's football squad defeat Linden by a count of 28-14.

The Hilltoppers now own a 3-3 record. They play next when they host Colonia for a non-league contest on Saturday, October 15. Summit will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 24-14 league win over Perth Amboy (Perth Amboy, NJ). The Patriots record now stands at 6-1.

Coming up next, the Tigers encounter the Cranford Cougars (Cranford, NJ) in a non-league contest, on Friday, October 14. Linden will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Cougars go into the contest with a 4-2 record after their 28-0 league win over Scotch Plains-Fanwood (Scotch Plains, NJ).
