The St. Thomas Aquinas Falcons (Hammond, LA) football defeated the host Pope John Paul II Jaguars (Slidell, LA), 26-15 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Falcons face the St. Helena College and Career Academy Hawks (Greensburg, LA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, October 14. St. Thomas Aquinas will attempt to move on its 1-6 season record. The Hawks enter the bout with a 2-4 record after their 44-6 league win over Independence (Independence, LA).

The Jaguars (2-4) will now prepare for their bout against Northlake Christian (Covington, LA). The Wolverines enter the 2A District 7 bout with a 4-2 record. In their last bout, Northlake Christian defeated Springfield (Springfield, LA), 42-0, in a league bout.
