The Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf Trojans held off the host Wisconsin School for the Deaf Firebirds volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Friday's non-league test.
The Trojans now have a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oklahoma School for the Deaf for a Freelance test on Saturday, October 8.
The Firebirds (2-6) will now prepare for their test against Rock County Christian (Beloit, WI). The Eagles enter the test with a 14-6 record. In their last test, Rock County Christian was nudged by Maranatha Baptist (Watertown, WI), 3-1, in a league game.
