October 7, 2023: Webster City, IA 50595 The Ames Little Cyclones held off the host Webster City Lynx volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Little Cyclones now have a 13-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lincoln for a non-league game on Tuesday, October 10. Ames will meet a Railsplitters team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Humboldt (Humboldt, IA). The Railsplitters record now stands at 3-14.
The Lynx (15-13) will now prepare for their game against Janesville (Janesville, IA). The Wildcats enter the non-league game with a 17-8 record. In their last game, Janesville nipped Clarksville (Clarksville, IA), 3-0, in a league game.
