October 7, 2024: Holmdel, NJ 07733 Holmdel Hornets (Holmdel, NJ) boosters exited the stadium pleased Monday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Donovan Catholic Griffins (Toms River, NJ), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Holmdel moves its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Hornets host Howell (Farmingdale, NJ) to clash with the Rebels in a non-league test on Wednesday, October 9. The Rebels come into the test with a record of 7-3. Howell lost 3-1 in their recent non-league test against Red Bank Regional (Little Silver, NJ)
The Griffins now sport a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Rose for a non-league test on Friday, October 11. Donovan Catholic will clash with a Purple Roses team coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to Wall Township (Wall, NJ). The Purple Roses record now stands at 0-10.
