New Jersey High School Soccer - St. Rose toppled by Holmdel
September 23, 2024: Holmdel, NJ 07733 Holmdel Hornets (Holmdel, NJ) boosters exited the stadium pleased Monday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting St. Rose Purple Roses (Belmar, NJ), 9-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Holmdel moves its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Hornets host Rumson-Fair Haven (Rumson, NJ) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Shore A - Central test on Wednesday, September 25. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 3-4. Rumson-Fair Haven lost 4-3 in their recent non-league test against Manalapan (Englishtown, NJ)
The Purple Roses now sport a 0-7 record. They take the field next when they host Middletown North for a non-league match on Wednesday, September 25. St. Rose will meet a Lions team coming off a 2-0 league win over Middletown South (Middletown, NJ). The Lions record now stands at 4-3.
