In Tuesday's league challenge, the host Arcata Tigers volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Eureka Loggers.

The Tigers (17-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Del Norte (Crescent City, CA). The Warriors come into the Humboldt-Del Norte - Big 5 challenge with a 19-7 record. In their last challenge, Del Norte edged Fortuna (Fortuna, CA), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Loggers play the McKinleyville Panthers (McKinleyville, CA) in a Humboldt-Del Norte - Big 5 challenge, on Thursday, October 9. Eureka will attempt to advance on its 16-7 season record. The Panthers go into the game with a 7-11 record after their 3-1 non-league win over St. Bernard's (Eureka, CA).
