In Saturday's non-league battle, the visiting Hoover Huskies volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Point Pleasant Big Blacks.

The Huskies (24-10) will now prepare for their battle against Independence (Coal City, WV). The Patriots come into the non-league battle with a 10-21 record. In their last battle, Independence lost by Liberty (Glen Daniel, WV), 2-0, in a league battle.
