Louisiana High School Volleyball - Hammond overwhelmed by Covington
October 8, 2024: Hammond, LA 70401 Covington Lions (Covington, LA) followers left the game satisfied Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Hammond Tornadoes (Hammond, LA), 3-0 in a league test.
With the win, Covington advances its record to 9-10 on the season. The Lions travel to Central Catholic (Morgan City, LA) to face the Eagles in a non-league test on Monday, October 14. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 11-11. Central Catholic won 3-0 in their recent league test against Hanson Memorial (Franklin, LA)
The Tornadoes now sport a 11-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mandeville for a Division I District 6 test on Wednesday, October 9. Hammond will face a Skippers squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Northlake Christian (Covington, LA). The Skippers record now stands at 4-17.
