In Tuesday's league challenge, the host New Covenant Gryphons volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Virginia Episcopal School Bishops.

The Gryphons (12-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Roanoke Catholic (Roanoke, VA). The Celtics come into the VISAA Blue Ridge challenge with a 7-10 record. In their last challenge, Roanoke Catholic beat Stuart Hall (Staunton, VA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Bishops meet the Carlisle Chiefs (Axton, VA) in a VISAA Division 3 challenge, on Thursday, October 17. Virginia Episcopal School will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record.
