The South Mecklenburg Sabres volleyball team (Charlotte, NC), went down 3-0 in Monday's non-league challenge with the visiting Butler Bulldogs (Matthews, NC)

The Bulldogs (18-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC). The Cavaliers enter the non-league challenge with a 7-14 record. In their last challenge, Cuthbertson went down by Weddington (Matthews, NC), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Sabres play the Myers Park Mustangs (Charlotte, NC) in a So Meck 4A bout, on Thursday, October 12. South Mecklenburg will attempt to upgrade on its 10-12 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 15-8 record after their 3-0 league win over Berry (Charlotte, NC).
