The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Butler Bulldogs (Matthews, NC) and the visiting North Mecklenburg Vikings (Huntersville, NC), saw Butler's volleyball squad beat North Mecklenburg by a tally of 3-1.

With the win, Butler upgrades its record to 12-1 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Independence (Charlotte, NC) to play the Patriots in a Southwestern 4A bout on Tuesday, September 19. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 7-3. Independence won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC)

The Vikings now own a 8-5 record. They play next when they travel to West Charlotte for a Queen City 3A/4A bout on Tuesday, September 19. North Mecklenburg will play a Lions squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Berry (Charlotte, NC). The Lions record now stands at 1-7.
