The Vela Sabercats (Edinburg, TX) football trounced the visiting Juarez-Lincoln Huskies (La Joya, TX), 52-0 in Thursday's league outing.

The Sabercats now sport a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Rowe for a 5A-1 Region IV District 16 outing on Friday, October 17. Vela will clash with a Warriors squad coming off a 49-21 league win over Rio Grande City (Rio Grande City, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 4-2.

With the defeat, Juarez-Lincoln drops to 0-6 on the campaign. The Huskies host McAllen Memorial (McAllen, TX) to clash with the Mustangs in a 5A-1 Region IV District 16 outing on Thursday, October 16. The Mustangs come into the outing with a record of 4-2.
