The crowd at Thursday's league contest between the Sam Houston Hurricanes (San Antonio, TX) and the host Lanier Voks (San Antonio, TX), witnessed Sam Houston's football squad knock off Lanier by a tally of 28-14.

The Hurricanes (3-4) will now prepare for their bout against Burbank (San Antonio, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 5A-2 Region III District 12 bout with a 1-4 record. In their last bout, Burbank beat Highlands (San Antonio, TX), 29-15, in a league bout.

The Voks now own a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Brackenridge for a 5A-2 Region III District 12 bout on Friday, October 17. Lanier will confront a Eagles squad coming off a 19-14 league win over Edison (San Antonio, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 2-4.
