The Sam Houston Hurricanes edged the host Jefferson Mustangs football team by a score of 27-20 in Thursday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Hurricanes face the Highlands Owls (San Antonio, TX) in a 5A-2 Region III District 12 outing, on Friday, October 31. Sam Houston will attempt to move on its 5-4 season record. The Owls come into the outing with a 1-7 record after their 34-14 league loss to Jefferson (San Antonio, TX).
