In Thursday's non-league game, the Port Isabel Tarpons (Port Isabel, TX) football team edged the visiting St. Joseph Academy Bloodhounds (Brownsville, TX), by a tally of 34-32.

In their next game, the Tarpons battle the King Brahmas (Kingsville, TX) in a 4A-2 Region IV District 16 outing, on Thursday, October 16. Port Isabel will attempt to move on its 3-4 season record.
