Virginia High School Football - Smithfield can't hold off Grafton
October 9, 2025: Yorktown, VA 23692 Grafton Clippers (Yorktown, VA) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Smithfield Packers (Smithfield, VA), 14-12 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Grafton improves its record to 5-2 on the season. The Clippers travel to Jamestown (Williamsburg, VA) to face the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, October 15. The Eagles go into the challenge with a record of 1-5. Jamestown lost 44-14 in their recent non-league challenge against Lafayette (Williamsburg, VA)
The Packers (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against York (Yorktown, VA). The Falcons go into the non-league challenge with a 0-6 record. In their last challenge, York was edged by Tabb (Yorktown, VA), 30-8, in a non-league challenge.
