In Thursday's league match, the DuQuoin Indians (DuQuoin, IL) volleyball squad overcame the visiting Frankfort Redbirds (West Frankfort, IL), by a count of 2-0.

In their next game, the Indians encounter the Anna-Jonesboro Wildcats (Anna, IL) in a Southern Illinois River-to-River Mississippi battle, on Tuesday, October 14. DuQuoin will attempt to improve on its 13-16 season record. The Wildcats go into the battle with a 4-23 record after their 2-0 league loss to Pinckneyville (Pinckneyville, IL).
